At CASC Engineering, we are passionate about inspiring the next generation of engineers. That’s why it was a real pleasure hosting Jacob and Max from Wallace High School for their work experience week!
Over the course of four days, the guys were immersed in the world of modern manufacturing, getting a hands-on experience in everything from CNC tube laser cutting to metal folding and MIG & TIG Welding.
To give them a complete picture of our manufacturing operations, Jacob and Max visited all three of our facilities across Lisburn and Carryduff and they jumped straight into learning across a wide range of core engineering processes.
To cap off the week, Jacob and Max put their newly acquired skills to the test by designing and fabricating their own personalised engineering pieces.
The quality and detail of their finished projects was fantastic, a real testament to how quickly both students picked up fabrication skills and applied them under the guidance of our production team.
Our entire team thoroughly enjoyed teaching, mentoring, and sharing our knowledge with Jacob and Max. Seeing their enthusiasm and progress throughout the week reinforces why investing in STEM education and practical trades is so vital.
We want to say a massive thank you to Jacob and Max for their hard work. We wish them both the absolute best as they pursue their future careers in engineering, if this week was any indication, the future of the industry is bright!
