The “26 Mountains 2 Mayo” challenge is a monumental journey of resilience, determination, and compassion. Led by an inspiring group of business leaders, including our Managing Director, Karl Crockard, this initiative involves climbing the highest peak in each of Northern Ireland and Ireland’s 32 counties over just nine days. This challenge aims to raise vital funds for the Cancer Fund for Children, a charity that provides critical support to families across Ireland impacted by childhood cancer.
The Magnitude of the Challenge
Starting on June 7, 2025, in County Donegal and concluding on June 15, 2025, in County Mayo, the participants will undertake a gruelling journey totalling 16,974 meters of elevation gain—double the height of Mount Everest from sea level. Each peak presents unique challenges, from rugged terrain to unpredictable weather, testing the participants’ physical and mental endurance.
This challenge is not just a feat of physical strength but a testament to the participants’ commitment to making a difference. Their efforts aim to shine a spotlight on the invaluable work of the Cancer Fund for Children and inspire others to join in supporting this worthy cause.
